The generous windows and connected living spaces gave this room a lovely starting point. The design builds on that natural light, introducing richer colour and a clearer purpose for each area.

Olive and rust upholstery anchor the main seating space, balanced by soft neutral walls and a warm clay tone above the picture rail. Alcove cabinetry brings storage and display together, giving books, favourite objects and the television a considered place within the room.

In the adjoining area, a compact desk and an armchair create space to work or settle down with a book. A shared palette connects the two spaces, while rugs help define their individual roles.

Brass lighting, gently curved furniture and layers of patterned textiles complete the scheme. The result is a design that feels warm, personal and comfortable, with practical details woven into everyday life.
